Youth Hockey Leagues
Main Street Arena Hockey Leagues are open to all qualified participants. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, yet competitive environment for all players. We provide an atmosphere that develops the proper attitude, discipline and work ethic necessary to help you and/or your child become the best person and athlete he or she can be. Fighting and rough play are strictly prohibited. Parents and family members are also expected to behave in a positive and encouraging manner as well. Severe penalties, suspensions and ejections will be enforced to those violating any of the above rules. All players, parent(s) or guardian(s) will be expected to sign several waivers before their first game.
ROOKIE HOUSE LEAGUE:
Is designed for players ages 5—8 years that have participated in Mighty Mites and are ready to take the next step forward. Rookie league will be held on Saturday mornings from 10—10:45am for 12 weeks. Each session will start out with practice followed with a cross ice game. Cross ice allows the players to work in an atmosphere scaled down to their level and give them more time with the puck. Referees and goaltenders will consist of volunteers approved by the Hockey Director. USA Hockey is not required for this league.

Open to players ages 7—10 years of age. Practice will be on Tuesday evenings at 6:00—6:50pm for 12 weeks and games will be on Saturday mornings at 7:00am-8:15am for 12 weeks. MIDDLE HOUSE LEAGUE:
Is open to all players ages 10—12 years of age. Practice will be held on Tuesday evenings at 6:55 – 7:45pm for 12 weeks. Games will be on Saturday mornings at 8:20am for 12 weeks. Game format will consist of 3 periods of 15 minutes running time. Current USA Hockey membership for this league is required. See USA Hockey column for more details on how to register. This is a Peewee non—check league.

Is open to players ages 13—16 years of age. Practice and games all in one evening! Upper House will be held on Tuesdays at 8pm with practice and a game to follow for 12 weeks. Game format will be 3 periods of 15 minutes running time. (Practice time may cut into game time.) Current USA Hockey membership is required for this league. See the USA Hockey column for more details on how to register. This is a U16 non—check league.

GOALTENDERS:
Goalies are required to wear approved Ice Hockey specific gear. All goaltenders will need to pay an annual USA Hockey fee of $35 and House League fee of $50.
Please see the USA Hockey column for more details on how to register. There will be a $50 rental fee each season for goaltenders using the Ice Park equipment. All equipment rented must be kept here at the Ice Park.
EQUIPMENT:
All players are required to wear FULL equipment. Any player not wearing proper equipment will be denied playing. Full equipment will comprise the following, each of which must be specifically designed for the sport of ice hockey:
- HECC approved helmet with face protection
- hockey skates
- hockey gloves
- shin guards
- elbow pads
- hockey pants
- shoulder pads
- hockey socks
- hockey jersey
- mouth guard (not wearing a mouth guard properly during a game can warrant a 10 minute misconduct)
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENROLLMENT:
1. MSA reserves the right to change the day and/or time of games. No refunds or credits will be made for games missed by the player.
2. Refunds are only given to players due to medical reasons. The player must submit a letter from their doctor to receive a refund or credit for the next season.
The credit / refund amount is determined from when the note is received by the Hockey Department.
3. Players, parent(s) or guardian(s) must execute a MSA hockey waiver and any other waivers needed to play.
4. There is a $35 fee for all returned checks.
